Void, Series 1.

In Void: Series 1, we were looking at the way undulating forms create a new space between them when one surface is suspended above the other. This negative - positive relief of each other allows for a unique moment between the two solid objects, creating a give and take relationship. One of goals in this series was to show the way light objects can appear to have a weight to them through the placement in space. The CNC milled high density foam allows for a semi-smooth surface that shows a interesting texture and light quality that play off teach other and the two pieces’ positioning.
