Parry Sound Facade Design Framework.

Streetscape and facade design consulting, 2024

Coolearth was retained by the Town of Parry Sound to come up with a framework and 8 possible facade design sketches for the downtown district of Parry Sound. The goal of the project is to create guidelines that the local shop owners and hired designers can use to enhance the experience of the main commercial streets.

The themes that were chosen for the project were marine time heritage, the history of the great lakes and the group of seven. The images above are before and after of the designs, as well as a small snapshot of what the conceptual framework looks like.

The main focus of the framework is to guide owners into educated decisions about products durability, maintenance, and sustainability.

MY WORK:

• Meeting clients to go through design options and conceptual framework

• Design facade sketches using guidelines from the conceptual framework

• Create report of all elements for presentations to the Township meetings
