New Surrey Hospital.

Hospital Design, 2023

New Surrey Hospital is a design build project in the beginning schematic design phase. The hospital is intended to be a fully electric hospital. I specifically was working on the foundations team during the duration of my co-op there.

The ground around the project is very soft and required extra attention to the foundations to meet the seismic standards in Vancouver. My job was to detail the connections and maintain the continuous heat, air, water, vapour barriers.

• Schematic design

• Foundation detailing with proper air, water and vapour barriers

• Section development around city Right of Way to make sure there are no conflicts

• Emergency decontamination space planning and exterior material research
